Why I built this app

I've been studying Korean for a long time. I learned Hangul. I worked through grammar lessons. I paid for tutors on Preply and iTalki. And after all of that — my Korean conversation skills were still basic.

I couldn't hold a real conversation. Not because I hadn't studied enough — but because studying and actually speaking are completely different things. Every app rewarded me for tapping the right answer. None of them made me speak.

Making it harder: I don't live in Korea. I don't have Korean friends nearby to practice with. The only real conversation practice I could get was booking a tutor session — schedule it, pay $20–35, and still only get one hour a week.
